Ecuador is a small country located on the equator. Despite it's size, however, it is one of the most biodiverse countries in the world. Ecuador is bordered by Colombia to the north, Peru to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the West. The Galapagos Islands, famous for being the location of Darwin's expeditions, is located off the coast.
